Fished the day NE of the point with Shawn, John and Rod with lake conditions being the exact opposite of the previous day with 1' waves and wind out of the west. We picked away and managed to boat 10 walleyes and 3 steelhead, with the largest walleye being 10.5 lbs. The program remained the same as the previous days. This trip concluded a week of ever changing weather and lake conditions as well as below average fishing.
Fished the day NE of the point. After heading out a strong storm halted our fishing for a few hours as we ran around the storm to bring a green crew member back to shore. After waiting out the storm at the dock we headed back out with Ed and Jason. We fought the steady 4 - 6' waves out of the NE and managed 5 nice walleye in the 7 - 9 lb range and 3 steelhead with the biggest being 10.5 lbs and 30 1/2 inches. Same program as the previous day.
Fished the day off of the mountain with Ed and Bob. With the lake trying to settle from a strong SW / W blow the previous day and winds out of the NE, we managed a slow day boating 5 walleye and 2 steelhead. Program consisted of 5 LC with deep divers on one side and weighted RR's on the other with the steelies coming on the riggers.
Fished the day with Mike H from Oil City. We ran NW of the point setting up with a nasty wind out of the NW producing 3-4' seas. Going with a one way troll at the mercy of the wind/waves, Mike managed to pick up his 6 walleyes just as the winds shifted to the W and seas began to build to steady 5'ers.
Finished the day w/ Mike's 6 in the box and 1 going back in. Fish remained in the 5-7 Lb range. Program consisted of weighted RRs and 5 LC w/ RRs off of the boards. Best color: RR - Gator Bait BN; Trolling Speed 2.3
Fished the day with Shawn, Barb, Dan and Don. We started the day NE of Walnut. We managed to slowly pick through the large amount of junk fish to box 10 walleyes. As the day went on the water warmed and our screen looked thinner and thinner, so we decided to pick up and run NW.
We setup, finding a nice temp break along with a screen full of bait and walleyes. We managed to add 14 more to the box with steady action.
We ended the day with a triple for a total of 24 walleyes boxed and one going back in. Fish averaged in the 5-7 lb range with the largest being 10.5 lbs. All but three fish came from weighted RR's or 5 LC w/ RR's off of the boards. Best colors: RR - Bare Naked. Trolling speed: 2.3
We were delayed at the dock for about an hour waiting for a storm to pass and then headed out around 7:15 only to be caught in what seemed like a two hour down pour. Just about the time the two I had aboard were ready to throw in the towel, drenched and huddling under the hard top, the rain stopped.
We fished NW of the point and were able get their 12 walleyes with the last one coming as a double and finding one dragging as we picked up. Finished the day with 12 in the box and two going back in. Fish averaged in the 6 - 7 lb range.
5 LC w/ bangos on one side and RRs w/ 3 oz on the other took all but one lone fish off of the rigger (pink/purple Renosky at 45'). Best colors were: Bango - green wonder bread (white body, green back w/ dots on side); RR - Bare Naked; Trolling speed: 2.3
Fished the day NW of Walnut with Roger and Mike. Started out with 2 - 3'ers from the NE which diminished to 2'ers for the remainder of our fishing. We managed to get their 12 walleye along with 2 other bonus walleye that we had been dragging. Those 2 went back in for another day. Finished with 14 walleye most in the 5 - 7 lb range with a couple smaller ones in the mix. Program consisted of 5 LC and Bangos/RRs and Bangos/RRs w/4 oz. of off the boards and big dipseys (3 setting, 160 back) w/ spoons chipping in a couple; Best Colors: Bango - FT; RR - Bare Naked; Trolling speed: 2.4 - 2.6

Best Colors: Renosky - Chameleon; RR - Gator Bait BN; Bango - Blue/chart; Trolling speed: 2.4 - 2.6
Fished NW of the point with Mike H and Brian R of Oil City. Boated 9 walleyes losing a couple on the way in and going 0 for 4 on steelhead. Neither was able to keep the acrobatic steelhead from throwing the hooks. Walleye averaged in the 6 - 8 lb range with a few small fish thrown in the mix. Program consisted of LC w/ shallow Renoskey's and weighted RR's and Bangos off off the boards along with Big Dispsey's (3 setting, 110 - 150 back) w/ worm harness. Best colors: RR - Gator bait BN; Bango - green/gold; Renoskey - chart/white; worm harness - Copper/Orange; trolling speed 2.4 - 2.7
