Fished late morning to early afternoon, northwest of Northeast Marina, with lake conditions being 1's. Landed 12 Lakers with one break off. The fish averaged in the 7 - 10 # range, with a couple 12's, 1 - 15 lber and the biggest for the day being a 34", 20 #er. Fished in 49 - 60 FOW with most bites coming off of the riggers set between 35 - 55', with 15 - 35' leads, big dispeys on a 2.5 setting 90' back also took a couple. Hot spoons for the day: MS scorpion: frog (copper); MS watermelon and DW WD gator getter.

Fished the morning northwest of Northeast Marina, started out the day with steady rain and calm conditions which changed to cloudy conditions and waves 1 - 3'; went 15 for 16 loosing one at the back of the boat. Fish averaged in the 7 - 9 # range with a few 12's and the biggest being a 31"- 16.5 lber. Fished 49 - 57 FOW; Set up being: Riggers down 30 - 50' with leads of 10 - 40'; Big Dispeys 2.5 - 3 setting 75 - 100 back; Speed: 1.7 - 2.3; Colors: DW WD Gator Getter; DW SS 42nd; DW SS Orange w/ green ladder back; M Stinger Green Bubble Date: 04/13/12
Fished for a few hours Friday evening, northwest of the Northeast Marina with lake conditions being flat. Went 5 for 6 on Lake Trout, with a break off. Fish were in the 8 - 10 lb range. Setup being: Riggers down 35 - 45 feet w/ leads being 25 - 40', Big Dipseys 75 - 90 back on a 2.5 - 3 setting; in 62 FOW, trolling speed 2.2. Spoons: MS scorpion - Frog; M Stinger Green Bubble; DW SS glow corn being the colors. |
