We were delayed at the dock for about an hour waiting for a storm to pass and then headed out around 7:15 only to be caught in what seemed like a two hour down pour. Just about the time the two I had aboard were ready to throw in the towel, drenched and huddling under the hard top, the rain stopped.
We fished NW of the point and were able get their 12 walleyes with the last one coming as a double and finding one dragging as we picked up. Finished the day with 12 in the box and two going back in. Fish averaged in the 6 - 7 lb range.
5 LC w/ bangos on one side and RRs w/ 3 oz on the other took all but one lone fish off of the rigger (pink/purple Renosky at 45'). Best colors were: Bango - green wonder bread (white body, green back w/ dots on side); RR - Bare Naked; Trolling speed: 2.3
